A CRAFTSMAN WORKS BY THE LOOK OF THINGS

The look of today's Earth suggests a course of development very different from what we've been taught. Observation of the continents on a relief globe indicates that we look at an exploded view of a smaller planet's crust. It is easy, for example, to see a certain balance in continental positioning. This is evident in the stretched shapes between, say, North and South America and, on the other side of the Earth, between Australia and the mainland, in the exceptionally stretched Indonesian Islands.
For this craftsman, devoted to mechanical detail and who works by the look of things, the view was conviction enough and, consequently, inspiration enough to produce a live model reviving the theory of Earth expansion.

Seasoned craftspeople are, by nature, a perfectionist lot. Presented with a project, a challenge, they often invest years of calculations to achieve the necessary purity of form. This model of an expanded Earth, created by one such craftsman, has received such attention. After much trial and error (with moulds, latex and other materials), its construction, though void of superfluous detail, retains the hallmark features of our planet. Its demonstration is compelling in its simplicity.
Acutely aware that past attempts at creating expansion models have been unsuccessful, particular attention was paid to ensuring the legitimate evidence of an unmanipulated model.

In the process of creating a better model of expansion it was not the prime interest of this craftsman to ponder how, when and where. The intuitive knowledge that if it could be done, it would be explanation enough, instilled faith in, simply, the mechanics.
