| Are you interested in becoming a
Rotarian?
The Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland is actively seeking
new members at all times.
The Opportunity to Serve
Rotarians provide service at the local and international levels that addresses
health-care needs, hunger and poverty, illiteracy, disaster relief and
environmental issues, to name just a few of Rotarian activities. Through
participation in these projects, members experience the fulfillment that
comes from giving back to the community.
Professional Growth in an Ethical Environment
A founding principle of Rotary was to provide a forum for professional
and business leaders. It offers countless opportunities for personal and
professional growth and to further enhance leadership skills. Rotarians
practice The Four-Way Test, which measures words and actions by their
truthfulness, fairness, goodwill, and benefit to all. Encouraging high
ethical standards has been a hallmark of Rotary from its earliest days.
Friendship
Fellowship was a primary reason Rotary was started by Paul Harris in 1905,
and it remains a major attraction. Today, with more than 31,000 Rotary
clubs in some 165 countries, Rotarians have friends wherever they go.
Rotary clubs meet weekly to inform members about what is taking place
in the community, nation and world. Rotary builds a sense of community
through its extensive network of clubs and programs.
Cultural Diversity and World Understanding
Rotarians around the world represent every ethnic group, political persuasion,
cultural background, and religion. Working together they gain an understanding
of humanitarian issues and have a significant impact on them through international
service projects and exchange programs. Promoting peace is one of Rotary’s
foremost objectives.
Above all Rotarians are committed to their motto “Service
Above Self.” If you would like more information about becoming a
part of the greatest service organization in the world, contact Membership
Chair, Sue Zanin.
