Config PPP
On older versions of the MacOS (7.5.5 and earlier) direct support for Dialup Internet access was not easy to come by. When Point to Point Protocol started to be supported at a dialup level Config PPP was a popular choice. Config PPP has many features that would require certification courses to completely understand from Modem and Port Speeds to Dialup scripts and Packet sizes. You don't have to bother with understanding all that, just following the directions and screens and you'll be online in no time
