Creating a Connection in Windows XP

Microsoft has been working on the Internet Connection Wizard (ICW) all the way back in Windows95 with Internet Explorer v2. Now the ICW is the only utility that you can use for setting up a Connection in Windows 2000 and XP. The following steps are from WindowsXP but they are identical to Windows 2000 for creating a dialup connection.

Click Next on the first screen that is welcoming you.

Make sure the dot is selected on Connect to the Internet.
Then click on Next.

For settings up a connection with WINCOM click the second option to Set up my connection Manually.
Click Next.

Choose either of the following to complete this wizzard:
Dialup
(WinXP and Win2000)
DSL
(WinXP Only)
