Step, by step setup for Outlook Express 5.

If you don't have Microsoft Outlook Express 5, then we recomment downloading it here. If you choose to download Outlook Express 5, you will also be upgraded to Internet Explorer 5.01 free of charge. Once you successfully download then setup file, remember to run it.

Once you have Outlook Express downloaded and installed, follow these easy step to properly configure your new software.

Step One: We want to add a new account. To do this, we want to click on Tools, then Accounts.

Step Two: Once you click on Accounts, you want to click on Add, then Mail.

Step Three: Enter Display Name.

The first question it will ask is to enter your Display Name. Your Display Name can be anything you want it to be. It isn't your e-mail address, but rather a name that people know you by. For Example: A Display Name could be The Sampson's, or even a nick name like Renegade. It is important to choose a Display Name that fits you, this name isn't permenent, but will appear next to your e-mail address on each message you send. After entering your Display Name, Click Next

Step Four: Enter Email Address.

You want to make sure you have "I already have an e-mail address other people use to send e-mail message to you." clicked on. Now it will ask you to enter your e-mail address. Make sure this is correct, if it's not people won't be able to reply to your messages. Your email address should be your_username@wincom.net, Example: help@wincom.net. Once you enter your e-mail address Click Next.

Step Five: Enter Server Information.

• Your incomming mail server is a POP3 server.
• Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: smtp.wincom.net
• Outgoing mail (SMPT) server: smtp.wincom.net

Step Six: Enter Account Information

It is important for all this information correct. Otherwise you will not be able to recieve your e-mail. Your account name is the full email address i.e. kevinm@wincom.net. An important thing to remember is, we do not use Secure Password Authentication (SPA). So make sure that it is not checkmarked.

Step Seven: Finish The Setup

All you have to do is click finish to complete your setup.
