Volunteer Survey
Window of Work
Do research on varying areas dealing with the Criminal Justice System, Victims issues, Law reform
and write articles for web site for the purposes of informing the public. Each month covering a
different topic for the purposes of building archives on VFJ web site. Ability to work independently.
Good writing skills and computer literacy. Knowledge of SPSS program for Social Sciences. Regularly meet
with Executive Members to discuss topic for following month.
Develop creative stragies to promote VFJ and fund-raise. Working to develop partnerships with
with the larger Community. Past experience writing grants and proposals in fund-raising
amd writing press releases. Marketing and business background an assest. Promoting VFJ to other organization
Possess Audio/Video skills, and some experience on the web developing
web site applications that enhance Victims for Justice. Contact media of fund-raising events, public events
forums and upcoming events.
Have demonstrated ability and background in Art and Computer generated
graphics. Develop flyers, brochures and props for presentation board.
Have past experience as web master. Ability to edit and update webpage, do searches on internet.
Check for broken links. Assist with regular development of website. Do regular searches increasing links to Victims for Justice Web site. Meet
with Webmaster and Executive Members monthly generating new ideas and direction for web site. Generating new graphics wherever possible.
Past background in education. Good written and oral communication skills.
Represent Victims for Justice at Victim of Crime Committee Meetings and other education Committee meetings in the Community.
Forge partnerships with schools and the Community through public forums. Participant in VFJ forums, public events, workshops
and collaborate on research iniatiatives with research assistant and executive committee when bringing forth briefs lobbying for law reform.
