NEW RULE FROM THE U.S. FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION (FDA) MAY CAUSE MORE DELAYS AT THE BORDER

Under a new U.S. Legislation, the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (the Bioterrorism Act), as of December 12, 2003 Canadian food exporters are required  to send a prior notice to the FDA of food imported into the United States.
