PRE-BUDGET SURVEY - 2006
The
Windsor
& District Chamber of Commerce and The Ontario Chamber
of Commerce present the Survey on the 2006 Provincial
Pre-Budget. The purpose of this survey is to identify
finance and tax issues that are of importance to
chamber of commerce and board of trade members.
The OCC will use the results of this survey to develop its
2006 Provincial Pre-Budget Submission and prioritize areas
of focus to assist in the development of policy
positions.

Chamber invited political candidates from all three ridings and
posed five locally driven questions chosen by the Chamber to
each of the political parties. The format was well received and

ECONOMY IN 2006 – “STEADY AS SHE GOES”
In
its 2006 Economic Outlook, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce
forecasts a year ahead much like that of 2005 for the
Canadian economy. For 2006 as a whole, growth in real gross
domestic product (GDP) is expected to average around 2.9 per
cent, placing Canada second only to the United States among
