CHAMBER MAKES  2004 MUNICIPAL PRE-BUDGET PRESENTATION  

On Wednesday, February 18th the City of Windsor held public consultations as a part of a new “2004 People Based Budget” process. Our Chamber provided its views on the 2004 Budget by making a public presentation to City Council and by releasing the 2004 Municipal Pre-Budget Submission. Speaking to City Council, Marty Komsa, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Chamber, presented eight recommendations for the 2004 City of Windsor Budget. Accompanying Marty Komsa was Ed Kanters, Chair of the Chamber’s Finance & Taxation Committee.

ONTARIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (OCC)

THE OCC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND 2004-05 POLICY DEVELOPMENT 

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has begun reviewing resolutions on important Provincial business issues running up to its Annual General Meeting that will be held from April 30 to May 2, 2004. The OCC will receive resolutions from its own policy committees, Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade. The resolutions should be related to Finance & Taxation, Health Policy, Transportation & Infrastructure, Education, Energy and Borders and Trade Development issues.
