PARTICIPATES IN PROVINCIAL PRE-BUDGET CONSULTATIONS WITH
FINANCE MINISTER GREG SORBARA
On
Monday, February 23rd Marty Komsa, Chair of the Chamber's
Board of Directors, presented the views of the Windsor &
District Chamber of Commerce to the Minister of Finance, Greg
Sorbara on the issue of the 2004 Ontario Budget. After the
meeting Marty Komsa stated that he was tremendously encouraged
by what he heard from Sorbara, saying " the provincial
government seems to be really paying attention to local
industry, local businesses and balancing that with the need for
social improvements."

SESSIONS IN APRIL-JUNE
The
Canadian Chamber of Commerce is the official issuer of Carnets in
Canada. The objective of the Carnet Program is to facilitate the
temporary entry of commercial samples and/or professional equipment into
countries worldwide. Effective April 2004, a new model ATA Carnet will
be implemented in Canada. To brief clients on the new model the CCC has
scheduled a number of information sessions this upcoming April-June in
