INTERNATIONAL CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION WEEK
April
15 – 21, 2001
On
April 15, 2002 the world will celebrate the 550th anniversary of the birth
of Leonardo Da Vinci. In conjunction with this, the first annual
International Creativity and Innovation Week (ICIW) will be rolled out.
Windsor and Essex County is rich with the fruits of innovation and
creativity. People living in this area hold over 50 US patents. Still, not
enough is known about the great innovators amongst us.
Plans are in place to interview people in the Windsor and Essex County
area to find out how creativity has benefited them, how it has made them
successful, enriched their lives and benefited our community. The
information gathered in these interviews will be crafted into stories and
published just in time for ICIW-2002.
An Invitation
Our members are invited (and encouraged) to contact Paul
Rousseau
at (519) 735-7959 or by e-mail praxis@mnsi.net to get involved in
this project by telling your story. Mr. Rousseau will interview a mix of
business people, managers, inventors, clergy, union leaders, young people
and others who have a story to tell about how creativity and innovation
have touched their lives in beneficial ways. Interviews will last about 30
minutes and will be scheduled at your convenience. Up to 25 stories will
be included in the collection.
Building the ICIW-2002 Team
Volunteers
are also required to help organize International Creativity and
Innovation Week events for April 15-21, 2002. Specifically, the group is
looking for local citizens who have a passion for creativity and
innovation. If you are interested, please contact Paul using the contact
information above.
