NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SEPTEMBER 9, 2002
CHALLENGE CUP 2002
The Board of Directors of the Windsor & District Chamber
of Commerce and the members of the 2002 Challenge Cup Steering Committee
thank the 130 registered teams for their fantastic contributions in making
this year’s Challenge Cup one of the best.
“In spite of the hot humid weather, teams and volunteers
demonstrated their enthusiasm and spirit for the games.
In keeping with this year’s theme, CAN/AM, teams showed their
patriotic pride and symbols of two great nations by wearing the red, white
and blue” said Judy Chaif Simko, Chair of the Challenge Cup
Committee.
“In addition to the many hours of our volunteers who
organize this fun day, our Platinum Sponsors, Windsor Disposal Services
Ltd., The Windsor Laser Eye Institute and Biz X Magazine play an important
role in helping to execute such an event of this magnitude. We also extend our thanks to the Ciociaro Club &
Multiplex, Transit Windsor, Windsor Squash & Fitness Club,
PricewaterhouseCoopers, Molson Canadian, Kelly Rent-a-Car, Canadian Tire
Windsor & Essex Stores, Festival Tent & Party Rentals Inc., Preney
Print & Litho Inc. and Windsor Family Credit Union for their
contributions. All of their support is very much appreciated.”
stated President Linda E. Smith.
Check out the Chamber’s website for the final results of
