To help the Chamber continue its exciting membership plans, we’re seeking the services of a detail oriented, dynamic Membership Care Coordinator. 

 

Your primary responsibilities include overseeing our database and managing our contacts. You will be a primary interface between the office and the membership and you will provide professional expertise they have come to expect.  We strive to keep our membership competitive in today’s marketplace. 

 

We are looking for an outgoing, business oriented and motivated person to join our team.  

 

You are passionate about data detail and will take ownership of our association data set. You are very comfortable with standard Window’s Applications and are familiar with databases and how they work in a networked environment. 

 

You have:

- Strong customer care skills (telephone, front-line customer care, sales care)

- Strong administrative and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Advocacy Update

 

INTELLIGENT BORDER SECURITY CAN ENABLE TRADE 

November 4, 2005 - The Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce representatives met with Michael Kergin, Ontario Premier’s Special Advisor on border management. During the meeting the Chamber stressed the importance of the Windsor-Detroit corridor as the umbilical cord for trade and tourism and the intricate link between border management and economic development. Mr. Kergin stated "Intelligent Security can enable trade" as a new mantra if we are to preserve economic security. Read the News Release that followed the one hour consultative meeting.

BEST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES FROM SOUTH CAROLINA 

November 2, 2005 - The Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce hosted a Before Business breakfast event featuring guest speaker James C. Rogers, Director of Economic Development with Duke Power. His message stressed the importance of a regional approach to economic development. Mr. Rogers highlighted best practices from South Carolina, drawing parallels between Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Windsor & Essex County, communities with similar population size.
