Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce submitted a provincial pre-budget submission to the Ministry of Finance at the February 7th Minister's round table. The views of the business community and a submission were presented to the Honourable Janet Ecker, Minister of Finance.

Transportation Policy Statement

On November 25, 2002 the Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors approved a Transportation Policy Statement. The statement identifies and articulates Chamber's  policy on border management, regional transportation issues and our place as a global transportation hub for the province and the country.

WINDSOR & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SUBMITS RESOLUTION ON THE CANADA - U.S. BORDER RELATIONSHIP
We are pleased to provide our membership with a “preview” of the Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce resolution, “The Canada-U.S. Border Relationship,” which has been submitted for debate by more than 700 planned attendees at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting later this month. CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE CALL ON GOVERNMENT TO EXAMINE PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is calling on the provincial government to study the establishment of a transportation authority, which is aimed at operating and developing Ontario’s transportation infrastructure for the 21st century. The Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce agrees with the OCC that Ontario’s highways, trade corridors and US border crossings, are being choked off and our economic prosperity is being threatened.
