‘B’ DIVISION CURLING 2009

Like last year, we will be competing at three venues: Roseland Curling Club, Leamington Sun Parlour Curling Club and Kingsville Curling Club. The B-Division will be first come, first serve to a maximum of 2 teams per school as it was last season. The convenor has the right to add a third team if requested by a school, and only if all other schools have been accommodated.

B – DIVISION INFO:

B-Division curling is a mixed, recreational league that runs in November and December. This is a great league for both beginner and novice curlers. The goal of the league is to learn the sport and have fun. Coaches are allowed on the ice to help curlers develop their skills.

Games: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 game regular season from Wednesday, Nov. 4^th to Wednesday, December 9^th, 2009. End of Season Hoopla Wed., Dec. 16th.

Game time: 3:50 pm to 5: 45 p.m. Game length: 6 ends (win, lose or tie)

Cost: $ 160 per team payable to Roseland Golf and Curling Club

Team Format: boys', girls' and mixed – and grade level.

Eligibility: Everybody is welcome. Strong B teams from last year, including those who made it as far as the semi-finals are strongly encouraged to play in the A division this year. Remember B-Division is for fun and development of the sport. A-Division is for competition.

Team Entry: Coaches or sponsor teacher must fax the attached entry form to JAMIE HALPIN at Assumption by Tuesday October 27^th at 3pm. Fax info is on the entry form.

SUNDAY JUNIOR LEAGUE:

This league runs at Roseland every Sunday starting November 15^th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. The league is FREE for anyone playing in B-league or A-league!! Otherwise, the league costs only $40. Please encourage you students to take part.
