Stairway to Boron (unfinished)
Mr. Mendeleev knows
Metals glitter like gold
And he's building a stairway to Boron.
When he get's there he knows
Even though its not close
Hydrogen is also a non-metal.
Ooh, Ooh, and he's building a stairway to Boron.
There's a chart on the wall
But he wants to be sure
'Cause you know some metals have two charges.
Tin and Iron are two
Lead and Copper make four,
And the diatomic gasses are shaped like a seven.
Ooh, chemistry's a wonder,
Ooh, chemistry's really a wonder.
There's a feeling I get
When I look to the left,
And I see the alkali metals.
In my thoughts I have seen
Lithium, Potassium,
Rubidium, Cesium, and Francium.
Ooh, Ooh, and he's building a stairway to Boron.
