Don Martel a professional photographer, was born in Windsor Ontario, Canada's most southern city. Numerous workshops prepared him for the inevitable switch from a career in software design to his passion and current mainstay, photography. Freelancing for the last 17 years has brought him a wide variety of experiences and a wealth of assignments, both commercial and educational. In 1999 Don was a field instructor for Freeman Patterson, teaching spring workshops held in New Brunswick.

Don has also been published in numerous Canadian National and international magazines. And has co-hosted CBC  "Ontario Today" photography call in show.   For more information on him, visit his website at

James Sidney  began making photographs in 1988. He is represented by First Light Associated Photographers. In 1999 James's first coffee-table book Images of Our Inheritance was released by Whitecap Books.
Key Porter Books will release James's second book Thus Spoke: Living Masters, Dying Words,   a collection of 150 black and white photographs and 30 interviews with the world's top martial artists.
