Cards # 5
Punch Out Card... this card is a 1/4 card size made of pale pale green cover stock with rounded corners. It has a border of green leaves and fruit... and the centre of this border has been cut out. A bright yellow sun in the top left hand corner is from a corner punch. The two teddy bears are punched out from dark brown cover stock and one is the circle bear and the other is the tiny bear. The red butterfly is a circle punch and coverstock was used here too. The punch outs were glued on to the back of the front cover.
The right inside of the card was left empty so that the card could be used if they wanted to.
This was my first attemps at a Punch Out Card. Aug. 31, 1998
Punch Out Bookmaker... this bookmarker is 4.25 inches X 6 inches using Pink Coverstock 67lb. I used the Provincial Fiskars on the edges and the Regal Corner Edgers on the Corners. I punched out a silhouette teddy bear in the centre below the Newpaper cliping... then pasted a beige teddy over top of the pink one. then using the eyes, mouth and bowtie off the gingerbread punch out.. I put blue eyes pink mouth and a yellow bowtie on the teddy.. and using the McGill border punch (not sure of the name) i put a pink heart from that on to the teddy. On each side of the Teddy bear at the bottom I use a Gingerbread punch out one in yellow and one in blue. I Laminated the whole thing in 3ml. Punched a hole and added a fushia tassel.
Punches from Terri Naber, Lamination pouches from Staples, Tassel from Sue Beck
2 Weaved Cards... These 2 card fronts are made on pale green coverstock 67lb in 1/4 card size. I had lots of strips of cover stock left over.. so though I would try to do some weaving. Did the one on the right first.. but found the strips to wide.. cut them in half and tried agian. Not to creative.. but different.. was thinking of puting another layer on top like a large heart.. or something.. with words on it.
