Hi I am Maggie and have been a diabetic for 15 years.

I am just now learning the proper way to eat. One thing I think that helps is that you do not think of yourself on a diet... as diets all end.. and when they do you go back to your old way of eating and you gain back all your weight. Think of this as a way of life.. this is forever.

Below is the Way of life I am now following. In 11 weeks I have lost 59 lbs and have 121 lbs to go. I started this Jan 13th, 2000 and it is now April 6th, 2000

 

                                          My girlfriend kc a PAL told me something one day.. and it has stuck with me.                         This is why I say it is a Way of life..and not a Diet.

I am going to LIVE cause of IT (live it) not DIE for IT (diet)

 

UPDATE June 21, 200 (5 months) I have now lost 76 lbs and am at my 1st Big Goal with 104 lbs more to go

Also with this you should be on a good exercise program.. right now I am limited in my exercise as I have just had a Knee replacement done and am learning to walk again. But already I am up to where I was walking before the operation and I still have 2 to 3 months of healing left.
