MAGGIE's

 PERSONAL PAGE

Who Am I?

Hi, as you can see... I'm Maggie...  Margaret A. M. Vaillancourt.. most of you know me as Maggie Vail.   I am female of course.   I am 5' and 5.5 inches in height and very heavy.   I am a brunette with red highlights and some grey now too... my hair is short on the sides and back (so short you can not grab it at all) and is about 6 inches long on the top...(but does not reach my ears).  My eyes are Hazel in colour and change a lot depending on what I am wearing.   I am Roman Catholic and very active in my church, have graduated from grade 12 and taken a course in Professional Dog Grooming and Standard Bred Horse Grooming.

Where do I live?

I live in the Milky Way Galaxy on the third rock from the Sun..  Planet Earth it is called.  I live in a Country called Canada in the Province of   Ontario.  In what is called the Banana Belt of Canada.. near Canada's most southern tip.... in the County of Essex... I reside in the city of   Windsor.

In Windsor I am  almost surrounded by water as I am situated between Lake Erie to my south and Lake Huron to my North with the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair in between them and to my west.

The weather here varies.. and we get 4 seasons.... Spring is wet  and cool becoming hot in late May.  Our summers run temperatures  up to 105 degrees F.  Fall is cool and sometimes damp with a nice Indian Summer in October.  Although our winters are cold and snowy.. we do  not often get a White Christmas.

What do I do?

I am a Dog Groomer... I give hair cuts to dogs and cats at a veterinarian  hospital.  I work from Tuesdays to Fridays from about 8:30am to 4 or 5 pm depending on how much work I have to do.  I really enjoy working with the animals .. and everyday is different.. and always there is a surprise... in either the type of dog or cat I am doing.. in the type of haircut I have to give them.. in how they act while getting a haircut... or what ever..     something always surprises me.

I groom from 5 up to as many as 10 a day ... depending of course on size and what is to be done on the animals... On the average a cat will take 1 to  1 and a quarter hours to do, that includes a haircut or brush out.. bath, drying and finishing the cat. On the average a small dog like a poodle or a  yorkshire terrier, or a shihtzu will take 1  to 1 and a quarter hours to do, a  medium size dog as in a cocker spanial, schnauzer will take about 1 to 1 and a half hours .. with larger dogs as in golden reteirvers, bouviea, old    english sheepdogs will take any  where from 2 to 3 hours to do.  So you can see if I have all small dogs and cats.. I can do more than if I have a larger dog.  The people where I work are very nice and friendly and are great to work with.
