As everyone was leaving about 11:30pm.. someone asked me about the other thing? and I said what.. after being flashed a card.. so Karen could not see it.. I remembered I had told them in an email that Friday was Karens birthday and I would have cake and we could give her cards. I brought out the Hostess cup cakes..and we sang Happy Brithday to her, gave her cards and a few gifts and had cup cakes. Then Karen mentioned it had been my birthday the day before.. and they were upset with me for not telling them that.. so they sang to me too. The next day many presented me with cards and even a gift.
Saturday April 27, 02 we were up at 8and in the lobby for a quick breakfast, then back to the conference room for a FULL day of learning and sharing.

Maggie did the Demo # 3 over at the computer corner.. and answered questions on PSP (paint shop pro). She also learned something.. that when you use the multi print and you have set up your pictures you can save the layout.. and then use it again for printing. ......See the new scanner she got for $50.00....... ...... ...... .............BearPaw 1200CS ........... .... . ...... (on top of the tower) |

Evelyn S did the Demo # 4 showing us how to use cold
lamination (avery) to make bookmarkers. We each did a page of 5 of the
same kind.. then traded with others for a variety of them.

Here are 5 of the Bookmarkers that I recieved.. the
one with the fruit and vegitables is the one I worked on and traded. The
Magazine envelope was given to all of us from Evelyn to keep our bookmarkers
in.
|
Demo # 5 was by Karen U and she showed us how to use the coiler.. covers and pages were already cut .. we just had to punch the holes in, thread the coils and turn the edges.. and we each had a neat note pad.
Time for lunch, which was provided, with the help of Karens Mom and Aunt. A table was laid with lunch meat, rolls, butter, mustard, mayo, ketchup, horseradish, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, vegitables tray and dips and a fruit tray. Karens Mom, Dad and Aunt joined us for our meal and looked at the items we had been making and had traded.. they were amazed.
|
This was a non stop day and at 1 pm we were back at
the tables with Demo # 6 by Lark B who was showing Frames made with Art
Glitter and Xyron machine 1 sided Sticker Cartridge. These were amazing.
(picture coming soon)

Demo # 7 was given by Maggie ... on her favorite toys.. PUNCHES. She used the Bring Your Punches to Life book. After showing everyone the different sizes in punshes, the punch pro and how it works, they all got to make people out of the punches.. using their own designs or some from the book. Jessica did a great job on a frame for her sisters new baby, using designs from the book combined with her own ideas.
Demo # 8 by Lark B was on Art Glitter Stained Glass. This was amazing and took a bit more time as the glue had to dry.. but when we were done we had a great Stained Glass Acetate that could be added to the front of a card.. (picture coming soon)
|
At 4pm it was off to Memory Pages the Scrapbook store
by Karens house.. where we were the only shoppers ( the place closed at
4pm but stayed open an extra hour or so just for us) and we were given
10% off all our purchases. Lots of items were gotten, papers, stickers,
rubber stamps, punches (Maggie even managed to fine 2 more borders) and
many other items. It was here that Maggie also got the BARGIN of the weekend..
her $9.99 find. Like 3 others she bought the very tiny X sticker machine.
After we all left the store.. while Karen was in the hotel telling the
others that we were going to Bob Evans for supper.. Maggie opened up her
box to get a better look at this little machine.. and low and behold the
box was .... EMPTY.. wow was she and the others surpised.. we figured
it must have been the display box.. (it IS being mailed to her)

Since we had to clear out the room Saturday night.. we worked on Demo # 9 Scrapbooking & PA 12. With everyones imput this is the page we came up with and printed out for each of us. |
Sunday morning after a quick breakfast in the lobby.. we met once again in the conference room.. it had been cleared the night before except for the computer.. and there we did a bit more with Scrapbooking with PA 12 and then on to Genie Journaling. At 10 we took the computer apart and with many hugs and promises to keep in touch and seeing one another again.. we parted our ways. It took 2 trips with the car full to empty Karens and Maggies stuff out of the hotel.. but we were at Karens house at 1PM.

One last picture taken about 8AM Monday morning..
