Tom is an experienced birder who was formerly the head park naturalist at Point Pelee National Park. For ten years he was weekly columnist and birding expert with Discovery Channel Canada (on the shows "@discovery.ca" and "The Daily Planet). 

Tom also authored the guide book to finding birds in and around Point Pelee National Park. His lifelong journey with birds and nature continues as he guides groups in the Point Pelee area, and much farther afield (currently offering trips to four continents!).
