"What is sexual assault?"

Sexual assault is any form of non-consensual, coerced or unwanted sexual activity/touching. Sexual assault is a crime of violence committed against the will of the victim.

Wait....take a look at the facts...

 Immediatly After a Rape

1. Strongly consider reporting the incident to the police. If you choose to or you are undecided, don't change ANYTHING about your body - don't wash, comb your hair, smoke, eat, or drink anything. Doing any of these things could destroy evidence.

2. Seek medical help at the Sexual Assault Treatment Centre. Injuries of which you may be unaware of may be detected.

3. Ask a friend or relative to take you to the Sexual Assault Treatment Centre if you can't get a cab or police car.

4. Contact the Sexual Assault Crisis Centre for assistance. In Windsor and Essex County, our 24 hour Crisis Line is 253-9667.
