Biography Wayne Lessard was called to the Ontario bar in 1982. He has a general practice and has the experience to assist you with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board matters, real estate transactions, Canada Pension Plan disability appeals, wills and powers of attorney, employment matters, and small business matters. Wayne Lessard served as a Member of Provincial Parliament in Windsor-Walkerville between 1990 and 1995. He was a member of the Cabinet Committee on Legislation and Regulations and the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Environment and Energy. As such he played a key role in the passing of the Environmental Bill of Rights and the hiring of Ontario's first Environmental Commissioner. Wayne Lessard also served as member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor-Riverside between 1997 and 1999. He was the opposition critic for privatization, energy and apprenticeship training. Wayne Lessard's legal experience includes being an Assistant Crown Attorney and legal counsel for the Corporation of the City of Windsor. Wayne Lessard currently sits on the Board of Directors of one of Windsor's largest financial institutions, Motor City Community Credit Union and the Aids Committee of Windsor. Clients, past and present, include Friends of Marshfield Woods (an environmental coalition group), small business owners, injured workers and the Ontario Attorney General. |
